YP Vets continues to support both local charities and those causes further afield.

Locally, our clinics participate in local school "Work Experience" programme for students.  We accept veterinary nurse interns from TAFE, and final year veterinary 5th year students from interstate complete their practical experience at our clinics.  Much time and effort is given to students wishing to enter the veterinary profession.

In 2010-2011 we have sponsored local clubs such as Bowling and Golf Clubs, the Maitland Show, Kulpara Show Jumping, Tenterfield Terrier Club and SA Yard Dog association. In 2011 our staff also entered a team in the RSPCA Million Paws Walk and participated in the RSPCA Cupcake Day in 2010. Our clinic also supports YP Puppy Rescue and SA Dog Rescue through heavily discounted vaccines, micro-chipping, health checks and desexings.

Regular vet articles appear weekly in the YP Country Times newspaper - our vet talk columns are informative and are well received. We also contribute articles to the Ardrossan Antics, also the Maitland Matters newsletter.

All in all, we are proud members of our community, we stay in touch, support our local causes and plan to continue our involvement in all sorts of events in future years.
