It is an unfortunate fact that our working life exposes us to many cruelties, abuse and welfare cases involving animals. Sadly, many healthy animals are euthanised at animal shelters and vet clinics.
As part of our commitment to community service, we organise a Pet Adoption Program at our clinics. Most of these cases involve charity and welfare kittens. We work closely with the local police, RSPCA, CFS and others involved with the rescue, treatment and re-homing of such cases.
One case involved four kittens wrapped in a cardboard box and thrown down a mineshaft -- luckily the kittens were heard, rescued by the CFS, then treated by us until healthy then adopted out.
Many of the abandoned kittens need some tender loving care, vet treatment and "feeding up" until they are ready for adoption. Vets and nurses love and cuddle them, take them home, raise them, and even bottle-feed every few hours if needed. We are very passionate about this cause, and incredibly fond of such kittens!
Our adoption package ensures all kittens are vet checked, quarantined for 10 days, ringworm screened, worm and flea treated, desexed, microchipped, and receive their first vaccination.
The adoption fees allow us to continue treatment and desexing of charity cases, and enable us to continue our Pet Adoption Program.
